Somovijada
"Somovijada" is a traditional sports fishing and tourist event held every year during the last weekend in July, on the lake in Zvornik. It is the greatest event of its kind in the country, and with participation of an increasing number of competitors from abroad it has assumed an international character.
"Somovijada" was founded in 1998, as an attempt by local fishermen to catch the biggest catfish.
All participants of "Somovijada" have the right to freely catch, without the permission of the users of the area, any kind of fish, seven days before and seven days after the event. The aim of this unrestricted fishing is better exploring of the lake and longer stay of the participants and all other guests.
Participants and guests can provide accommodation in person or through the organizers, the hotels in Mali Zvornik and Banja Koviljaca.
Since 2007. as a part of the regular happenings at "Somovijada” , competition in making fish soup is organized.
Besides fishing, you can swim, paddle or ski on the water and enjoy the ride scooters or motor boats.
DRINA REGATTA - "Drina is only one"
Drina Regatta called "Drina is one" traditionally organized by the city Loznica in cooperation with the neighboring municipalities of Zvornik and Mali Zvornik in the Serbian Republic. The event emphasizes and promotes not only the importance of friendship connections, health and competitive spirit, but also the significance of good cooperation between municipalities. The so-called ‘Jolly ride’ down the river with the length of 17 km, starts in Mali Zvornik, at 10 am, in front of the "Royal Drina" and lasts for more than 3 hours, ending up in Banja Koviljaca- where follows the ceremony for the best crew.
The number of participants is continually growing, so that economic and tourist event, Drina Regatta, on average, brings together over 1000 participants and about 200 boats. Regatta participants provided a music program, so with music and song to the finish comes in a singing voice.
DRINA REGATTA – Ljubovija
Drina Regatta in Ljubovija has a tradition of almost a decade. Pioneers and founders of the event down for the first time the Drina second Saturday July 2001 year.
The event is the first year consisted of only a few participants and few vessels that year a swarm of participants grew and reached a number of 2000 vessels and nearly 20,000 participants.
The fairway is Rogacica to Ljubovija, 40km in length, representing about 9 hours of sailing and unforgettable moments in a beautiful setting and friendly atmosphere with the sounds trube.Za safety of the participants in charge of the police, the agency authorized to provide services on the water, divers, lifeguards, security guards on land and water, the Health Service which has its own medical team on the water, and the team that monitors all participants in a land ambulance.
Participants can find the accommodation facilities in Mali Zvornik and Ljubovija, as well as the capacity of rural tourism.
